Stream New Sigur Rós - Valtari

The album is out May 28, but luckily, NPR is offering a free stream and I simply can't get enough. This Icelandic band can do no wrong, seriously. They have a knack of ripping the emotion right out of you with huge, sweeping, heart-wrenchingly beautiful melodies. Valtari has less of the band's signature "big moments" but if you slap on your noise-canceling headphones, you'll find your brain clinging to each twinkling note. Lower Dens - Propagation

Here's a song that keeps catching my eye (ear?) on different blogs. Off Lower Dens' recent LP, Nootropics, Propagation is what would happen if you shoe-gazed the band Beach House. Not sure how I feel about the rest of the album, but it's been receiving positive reviews so I may need to give it a second try. Watch the eerie video, directed by Sebastian Mlynarski, below!
